Audi Q2 Air Conditioning Malaysia
Q2 uses R1234yf or R134a. Single or dual-zone. Compact cabin — A/C cools efficiently. Compressor RM 1,500–2,800. Cabin filter every 15,000 km. Re-gas every 3–4 years. Malaysia: check condenser for debris after KL traffic.

Q2 A/C Service
- GA (2016–2020): R134a — regas RM 160–240
- GA facelift (2020+): R1234yf — regas RM 320–450
- Cabin filter every 15,000 km — compact cabin, dirty filter causes poor airflow fast
R1234yf vs R134a — Malaysia A/C Context
Newer Q2 variants use R1234yf refrigerant, which costs significantly more to regas than the older R134a. Do not mix refrigerant types — this damages the A/C compressor and seals. Always confirm which refrigerant your specific Q2 uses before any A/C service. In Malaysia's year-round heat, the Audi A/C compressor runs nearly continuously. Annual A/C inspection at 4M Car Care is recommended to catch compressor wear and refrigerant leaks early — A/C compressor replacement on the Q2 costs RM 1,200–2,800.
