Perodua Alza
2022–present (D55L) · 1.5L NR-VE (Daihatsu/Toyota DNGA, port injection, timing chain)
The Perodua Alza D55L (2022+) is Perodua's 3-row 7-seater MPV on the new DNGA platform. The 1.5L NR-VE uses port injection — NO carbon buildup risk. D-CVT fluid every 40,000 km. ASA 3.0 standard. Larger cabin than previous Alza — popular family choice. Spare tyre under floor, not boot-mounted.

Perodua Aruz
2019–present · 1.5L 2NR-VE (Toyota-derived, port injection, timing chain)
The Perodua Aruz (2019+) is Perodua's 7-seater SUV built on the Daihatsu/Toyota platform. The 1.5L 2NR-VE is port injection — NO carbon buildup on intake valves. ATF every 40,000 km is the most important service item. Larger and heavier than Myvi — front strut wear and brake pad life shorter than smaller Peroduas.

Perodua Ativa
2021–present · 1.0L DVVT Turbo (1KR-VET, port injection + turbo)
The Perodua Ativa (2021+) is Perodua's first turbocharged model, using the 1.0L DVVT Turbo (1KR-VET port injection). Port injection means NO carbon buildup risk on intake valves. D-CVT fluid every 40,000 km is critical. Turbo engine needs fully synthetic 0W-20 and shorter 5,000 km oil change intervals. ASA 3.0 camera recalibration required after windscreen replacement.

Perodua Axia
2014–present · 1.0L EJ-VE (Daihatsu-derived, timing chain)
The Perodua Axia uses the Daihatsu-derived 1.0L EJ-VE with a timing chain. The 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) on pre-2023 models is a robotised manual gearbox — low-speed hesitation is normal, but the clutch actuator wears at 60,000–80,000 km. The 2023 facelift upgraded to D-CVT. Extremely simple and cheap to maintain.

Perodua Bezza
2016–present · 1.0L 1KR-VE / 1.3L NR-VE (Daihatsu/Toyota-derived, timing chain)
The Perodua Bezza (2016+) is Perodua's first sedan, using Toyota/Daihatsu-derived engines with a timing chain — no belt change. D-CVT fluid every 40,000 km. The 1.0L variant uses 5W-30; the 1.3L NR-VE uses 5W-30 or 0W-20. Simple, economical, and very cheap to run — parts are widely available in Malaysia.

Perodua Myvi
2018–present (3rd gen) · 1.3L NR-VE / 1.5L NR-VE (Daihatsu/Toyota-derived, timing chain)
The Perodua Myvi 3rd gen (2018+) uses Toyota/Daihatsu-derived NR-VE engines with a timing CHAIN — no belt change needed. The D-CVT fluid must be changed every 40,000 km. Smart key battery drain and D-CVT shudder from neglected fluid are the top issues. Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) camera calibration is required after any windscreen replacement.
