Oil Grade Selection in Malaysia
Perodua officially recommends 0W-20 fully synthetic for the NR-VE engine. In Malaysia's heat, 5W-30 SN is an acceptable alternative if 0W-20 is unavailable — but avoid 10W-40 or thicker grades as they increase cold-start wear on this engine. Always check the SM/SN/SP API rating on the label. Change every 5,000 km; do not stretch to 10,000 km in Malaysian driving conditions.
