Hygroscopic Fluid in Malaysia's Humidity
Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air (hygroscopic), and Malaysia's year-round humidity accelerates this process. As water content rises, the boiling point drops — during hard braking on highways or downhill, boiling fluid causes vapour lock and brake fade. The Q2's DOT 4 LV spec fluid should be changed every 2 years without exception. At 4M Car Care we use a digital brake fluid tester to measure moisture content at every major service — if water content exceeds 3%, a flush is recommended immediately regardless of schedule.
