Audi Q2 Power Steering Malaysia
Q2: fully electric EPS — no fluid. EPS rack failure uncommon before 100,000 km. Malaysia RM 1,500–3,500. VCDS steering angle sensor calibration after rack replacement.

Q2 Power Steering
- EPS — no hydraulic fluid; steering feel lighter than A3 due to smaller car weight
- EPS fault: VCDS scan for electric steering codes; RM 900–1,800 for replacement
Audi EPS — No Fluid, But Maintenance Exists
The Q2 uses electric power steering (EPS) — there is no hydraulic fluid to check or change. However EPS is not maintenance-free: the steering column bearing and EPS motor are wear items, and the system requires correct VCDS coding if the EPS unit is replaced. Common EPS symptoms in Malaysia: groaning or whining on full lock in car parks (especially in heat), variable steering weight at highway speed (usually an EPS adaptation issue), or a steering warning light. VCDS can read EPS torque sensor data and motor current draw to diagnose early faults.
