S tronic Fluid — Not Lifetime in Malaysia
Audi once labelled the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox as having lifetime fluid — this has since been revised. In Malaysia's heat, S tronic fluid breaks down faster than in Germany. Dark fluid at 60,000 km indicates oxidation and reduced clutch lubrication. A Q5 S tronic rebuild costs RM 8,000–20,000; a fluid service costs RM 400–700.
