Audi's electronic brake pad wear sensors alert before minimum thickness, but in KL city driving the sensor can trigger early — check actual pad thickness at every service. Note: the rear EPB calipers on the Q7 require VCDS for piston retraction when replacing rear pads — a generic OBD tool cannot do this.
