Honda Jazz Cooling Coil — Clean or Replace?

Jazz GK5 evaporator is smaller than the Civic's — but musty odours are common because the compact cabin means air recirculates more, and the coil is in a tight space with limited airflow when not running.

Preventive: genuine Honda cabin filter + fan-only for 5 minutes before shutdown. Curative: evaporator sanitise spray (RM80–120). If refrigerant is being lost without a visible condenser or pipe leak, test evaporator pressure. Evaporator replacement on the GK5 requires dashboard removal: RM700–1,200.
