Buying a Used Porsche 911 992 Malaysia — Checklist
Used 992 checklist: PIWIS scan — PDK adaptation count (>3,000 = heavy use), fault codes. Oil level + condition. Carbon buildup cold start test. RMS: underfloor oil seep at transaxle. Launch control use history (PDK wear indicator). Targa/Cabriolet: roof seals and drain tubes. PCCB (if fitted) for cracks.

- Inspect under engine at rear for oil seeping from RMS area
- Test PDK at 20–40 km/h: shudder = fluid overdue or mechatronic wear
- Do NOT let 996/997 IMS scare you off a 992 — it is a different engine
