Oil Leak — Common Points on Proton Engines
Common oil leak points on Saga/Persona VVT: cam cover gasket (most common — brown residue on top of engine, burning smell), crankshaft front seal (oil slinging on timing belt cover — urgent as it can contaminate the timing belt), oil drain plug. On X50/X70/X90 TGDI: turbo oil supply and return lines. Any leak that contaminates the timing belt area on belt-driven engines must be repaired immediately — a belt saturated in oil snaps under load.
