Brake Fluid — Malaysia Humidity Factor
Malaysia's high humidity causes DOT 3/DOT 4 brake fluid to absorb moisture faster — flush every 2 years regardless of mileage. Wet fluid lowers the boiling point and can cause brake fade on long downhill runs or repeated emergency braking. Use DOT 4 for a higher dry boiling point (230°C vs DOT 3's 205°C). Brake fluid flush costs RM 60–100 at most workshops.
