VW Jetta Carbon — Port Injection, No Issue
EA211 1.4T and 1.6 MPI: both port injection — ZERO carbon buildup. No walnut blast ever needed. Carbon is NOT a Jetta problem — unlike Golf 2.0T owners.

Jetta Carbon Buildup
- 1.4 TSI EA211 is direct injection — carbon accumulates on intake valves from 60,000 km
- Walnut blast: RM 750–1,100; Jetta engine bay access is easier than Arteon
Walnut Blasting for TSI Direct Injection
Direct injection TSI engines cannot clean intake valves with fuel — carbon builds up over 60,000–80,000 km of KL city driving. Symptoms: rough idle, hesitation, reduced economy. Walnut blasting removes deposits without removing the cylinder head. At 4M Car Care this is done at operating temperature followed by VCDS idle adaptation reset.
