Stop-and-go traffic in KL and PJ wears brake pads significantly faster than highway driving. The Polo's front pads carry most of the braking load in city conditions. VW's electronic brake pad sensors alert before minimum thickness, but heavy urban use can trigger the sensor early — always check actual pad thickness at every service. Rear EPB calipers on the Polo require VCDS piston retraction function when changing rear pads — a step that generic workshops often skip, causing seized calipers.
