Audi A7 Brake Pads Malaysia
A7 front pads: 40,000–60,000 km. OEM RM 500–900/axle. EPB electronic rear: VCDS retraction required. A7 is heavier than A4/A5 — rear pads wear proportionally faster. S7: larger Brembo calipers available as option. Magnetic brake assist (MKB) on 4K: VCDS needed for brake adaptation. Malaysia OEM install RM 350–650.

A7 Brake Pads
- Front pads: 40,000–60,000 km; rear EPB: VCDS retraction required
- Large calipers (sport spec): always use high-temp OEM equivalent pads
- Cost: RM 500–750 front / RM 380–580 rear
City Traffic Brake Wear in Malaysia
Stop-and-go traffic in KL, PJ and Petaling Jaya wears brake pads 30–40% faster than highway driving. The A7's front pads carry most of the braking load in city conditions. Audi's electronic brake pad wear sensors alert before minimum thickness, but in KL city driving the sensor can trigger early — check actual pad thickness at every service. Note: the rear EPB calipers on the A7 require VCDS for piston retraction when replacing rear pads — a generic OBD tool cannot do this.
