Audi TT Battery Malaysia — EFB/AGM VCDS
TT 8J: standard lead-acid or EFB 60Ah in boot. 8S: AGM 70Ah (start-stop). VCDS registration required for 8S AGM. Malaysia 8J battery RM 350–600; 8S AGM RM 700–1,100.

TT Battery
- AGM (sports car = frequent short trips can drain battery faster) — code via VCDS after replacement
- Cost: RM 480–680 (battery + coding)
AGM Battery Registration — Mandatory for Audi
Never skip VCDS or ODIS battery registration after replacing the TT's AGM battery. Without registration, the power management system continues charging at the old battery's degraded profile — this overcharges and destroys a new AGM within 6–12 months. Registration resets the charging algorithm and odometer-tracked battery age. Also note: in Malaysia's stop-start city traffic, TT batteries drain faster than in European conditions. Battery health check is included in every 4M Car Care major service.
