Toyota Rush Brake Disc Guide
Rush brake disc warping occurs after loaded hill descents or emergency braking. Disc minimum thickness: front 22 mm (new 24 mm). Replacement cost RM 300–500.

Rush Brake Disc — Ventilated Front, Solid Rear
Rush uses ventilated front discs and solid rear discs. Disc warping is less common on Rush than on heavier SUVs — the lower mass means less heat generation under hard braking. However, uneven pad wear or sticking caliper pistons can cause vibration under braking. Minimum disc thickness: front 24 mm (new 26 mm), rear 9 mm (new 10 mm). Always measure before resurfacing. Cost: front pair RM 280–480, rear pair RM 220–380.
Brake Disc — Malaysia Road Conditions
Malaysia's frequent road humps and potholes accelerate brake disc distortion. Warped discs cause pulsation through the brake pedal — check at every brake pad change. Minimum disc thickness is stamped on the disc; replace if below minimum. For Hilux/Fortuner with heavy loads or towing, vented rear discs are preferable to drums for heat dissipation. Budget RM 150–350 per disc at independent workshops. Always replace in axle pairs.
