Engine Oil Grade — Toyota Malaysia
Toyota petrol engines in Malaysia use 0W-20 or 5W-30 SN/SP fully synthetic. Older 1NZ-FE engines accept 5W-30 semi-synthetic but benefit from full synthetic at high mileage. For the 2GD-FTV and 1GD-FTV diesel engines, use 0W-30 or 5W-30 DL-1 spec only — this grade is designed to protect the DPF. Never use 10W-40 or thicker grades on modern Toyota VVT-i engines. Change every 5,000 km in Malaysian conditions.
