- Every 5,000 km: engine oil + filter (0W-20 SP), tyre rotation, brake inspection
- Every 20,000 km: cabin air filter
- Every 40,000 km: air filter, spark plugs (copper), CVT fluid inspection
- Every 40,000–60,000 km: CVT fluid change (Toyota CVT Fluid TC)
- Every 80,000 km: spark plugs (iridium), timing chain inspection, inverter coolant check (hybrid)
- Every 2 years: brake fluid (DOT 3), coolant check, hybrid battery health check

Malaysia's heat and stop-start city traffic degrade engine oil faster than the manual's maximum interval. Stick to 5,000 km regardless of whether the manual lists a longer interval. CVT fluid on Vios/Yaris/Altis/Camry is often listed as 'lifetime fill' by Toyota — ignore this for Malaysian conditions and change every 40,000–60,000 km. Diesel models (Hilux/Fortuner) require DL-1 spec oil changed every 5,000 km to protect the DPF and turbo.
