- Cam cover gasket (EA888 Gen3B): common at 80,000+ km; RM 250–420
- Oil filter housing O-ring: common leak point on Gen3; RM 120–200

UV Dye Test Before Gasket Work
Seepage from cam cover gaskets or camshaft seals is common on higher-mileage Arteon engines and often remains stable. A true leak — drips on ground, burning smell, rapid oil level drop — needs action. At 4M Car Care we use a UV dye leak test to find the exact source before any gasket or seal work on the Arteon.
