Audi A7 Workshop Cases Malaysia — 4M Car Care
Real A7 cases: 4G 3.0T 85,000 km sudden power loss at highway — supercharger poly coupler disintegrated. Supercharger removed, new coupler RM 1,600 parts + RM 900 labour. 4K 3.0T 68,000 km rough cold idle — carbon buildup on V6 intake valves. Walnut blast RM 1,400 with intake plenum removal. 4G air suspension 102,000 km leaks — front left air strut replacement RM 2,800 including parts and labour.

Case 1: A7 C8 — Carbon + ZF Fluid at 68,000 km
A7 C8 55 TFSI, 68,000 km: owner complained of rough idle at cold start and occasional hesitation on highway. VCDS: no fault codes. Carbon inspection showed significant buildup on all 6 valves. ZF fluid: dark brown (never changed). Combined service: walnut blast (RM 1,450) + ZF 8HP fluid (RM 680) + Torsen diff SAF-XO (RM 380) + spark plugs (RM 780) + brake fluid (RM 180). Total: RM 3,470. Post-service: idle smooth, throttle response crisp, fuel consumption dropped from 17 to 14.5 L/100km city.
Case 2: A7 C8 — Rear Suspension DCC Fault (82,000 km)
A7 C8, 82,000 km: customer reported harsh ride over bumps at highway speed. VCDS found DCC (adaptive damper) fault on rear-right. Road test confirmed: right rear noticeably stiffer than other corners. DCC damper replaced (RM 1,650). Post-repair: ride quality uniform and compliant. Lesson: DCC faults rarely trigger warning lights early — only VCDS reveals the module fault code. Recommended full scan every 30,000 km for any A7 to catch faults before they cause discomfort.
