Q8: 8-speed ZF Tiptronic — ZF Lifeguard 8 ATF every 60,000 km, RM 700–1,100. Transfer case: every 60,000 km, RM 300–500. Front and rear diffs: every 60,000 km each. Never use generic ATF. All three drive components need separate fluid services.

- Torsen centre differential (quattro): SAF-XO — every 60,000 km

S tronic Fluid — Not Lifetime in Malaysia
Audi once labelled the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox as having lifetime fluid — this has since been revised. In Malaysia's heat, S tronic fluid breaks down faster than in Germany. Dark fluid at 60,000 km indicates oxidation and reduced clutch lubrication. A Q8 S tronic rebuild costs RM 8,000–20,000; a fluid service costs RM 400–700.
