Mazda 3 EPS Power Steering Malaysia
Mazda 3 BP uses EPS (Electric Power Steering) — no power steering fluid to change. Occasional EPS warning light: check battery voltage first (low battery = EPS fault). MRCC radar calibration needed after windscreen replacement. EPS motor failure rare — usually sensor or calibration issue.

Mazda Electric Power Steering — Malaysia
All current Mazda models (Mazda3 BP, CX-3, CX-5, CX-8) use Electric Power Steering (EPS) — no steering fluid to change. EPS is maintenance-free in normal use. Common EPS issues in Malaysia: (1) Slight steering vibration — usually a wheel balance or suspension issue, not EPS; (2) EPS warning light — typically caused by low battery voltage or a steering angle sensor fault after a pothole impact; (3) Heavy steering — low battery voltage reduces EPS power. For older Mazda models with hydraulic power steering, use Mazda-specified PSF (Power Steering Fluid) and flush every 2 years. EPS rack replacement costs RM 800–2,000.
