Brake Fluid in Malaysia's Humidity
Malaysia's high humidity accelerates DOT 3/DOT 4 brake fluid moisture absorption — fluid should be flushed every 2 years regardless of mileage. Degraded fluid lowers the boiling point and can cause brake fade on long descents. Use DOT 4 for improved performance, but never mix DOT grades. Brake fluid flush costs RM 60–100 at independent workshops.
