Perodua has evolved significantly across generations — newer models have substantially better safety and features. When buying used, note: 3rd gen Myvi (2018+) introduced ASA and D-CVT; Axia facelift (2023+) brought VSC and improved safety rating to 5-star ASEAN NCAP. For Ativa/Alza/Aruz, these are all current-generation vehicles with DNGA platform benefits. Older pre-2017 models lack VSC/ESC — a significant safety consideration for Malaysian highway driving.
