Buying Used Perodua Aruz Malaysia — Checklist
Perodua Aruz · 2019–present
- •ATF history: changed at 40,000 km? Test all D drive shifts — any jerk or hesitation?
- •Brakes: front pad thickness — Aruz pads wear faster than Myvi due to weight
- •Suspension: bounce test front corners — any clunk or oil seep from strut?
- •OBD scan: AT codes, AWD codes (if 4WD), engine faults
- •AWD (4WD variant): engage 4WD on gravel — engages smoothly with no grinding?
Buying a Used Perodua — Malaysia Checklist
When inspecting a used Perodua: (1) Check D-CVT fluid colour — dark/burnt smell means it was never changed; (2) Test ASA camera — verify it activates at low speeds; (3) Check for accident repair via paint thickness gauge; (4) Verify service history at a Perodua Service Centre (they can look up the chassis number); (5) Test A/C evaporator for musty smell with recirculation on. A pre-purchase inspection by a trusted workshop costs RM 80–150 and is always worth it.
