Battery Registration — Critical for VW
Never skip VCDS battery registration after replacing the Golf's AGM battery. Without it, the power management system continues charging at the old battery's degraded profile — overcharging and destroying the new AGM within 6–12 months. Registration takes 5 minutes via VCDS and resets the charging algorithm and battery age counter.
