Malaysia vs Longlife Intervals
VW's Longlife service interval was calibrated for cooler European conditions. In Malaysia's heat and stop-start city traffic, oil degrades faster. At 4M Car Care we recommend a 10,000 km oil change interval for all Tiguan variants regardless of what the Longlife indicator shows. For other items (brake fluid, DSG fluid), the standard OEM schedule is generally appropriate for Malaysian use.
