Audi Q8 Air Suspension Malaysia
Q8: air suspension standard (same compressor as Q7). Compressor: RM 3,000–7,000. Air strut: RM 2,000–4,500 each. Car sags on one corner = that strut leaking. Car sags evenly overnight = compressor/reservoir. VCDS: compressor fill-time test — >90 sec = system leak.

Q8 Air Suspension Service
Air suspension on the Q8 works harder than on the Q7 due to the heavier coupe body and lower ride height. Preventive maintenance is critical: annual overnight height check, VCDS compressor pressure test, and immediate action on any corner that sags. The Q8's lower roofline also means less ground clearance than Q7 — air strut failures cause scraping faster. Budget: compressor RM 3,500–6,500; valve block RM 2,500–4,000; air strut RM 2,500–4,500 each. Catching the valve block early saves the compressor.
Malaysian Roads and Audi Suspension
Malaysia's roads range from smooth highways to pothole-heavy urban streets with speed humps that stress suspension components. The Q8's suspension bushings and shock absorbers absorb these impacts continuously. Warning signs: car floats at highway speed, wallows on speed humps, knocks over sharp bumps, or shows uneven tyre wear. At 4M Car Care we inspect the full suspension geometry during every wheel alignment job — catching worn bushings before they cause secondary steering or tyre damage. Quattro models also require front differential fluid checks not covered by standard CBS intervals.
