Longlife Indicator — What It Misses
VW's Longlife indicator monitors engine oil, brake pads, brake fluid, and spark plugs. It does NOT monitor: DSG fluid, 4Motion front or rear differential fluid, haldex coupling fluid, or transfer case fluid. Many Tiguan owners discover overdue drivetrain fluids only when gearbox symptoms appear at 80,000+ km. At 4M Car Care we maintain a separate drivetrain fluid schedule alongside the Longlife items.
