Malaysia Highway Dust and Filter Life
Malaysian roads generate significant road dust and fine particulates that clog air filters faster than European conditions. A clogged filter reduces turbo boost pressure on the A5's 2.0 TFSI (B9) / 45 TFSI engine, increasing fuel consumption and reducing performance. The Audi Longlife recommendation of 30,000+ km for air filter replacement is too long for Malaysian conditions. At 4M Car Care we inspect the air filter at every oil change and recommend replacement every 20,000 km in urban driving.
