Audi A5 Service Indicator Reset Malaysia
A5 uses Audi Service Interval Display (SID). Reset via VCDS or MMI after every oil change. Oil, inspection and brake fluid intervals tracked. S-tronic fluid, Haldex fluid NOT tracked — set 60,000 km and 40,000 km calendar reminders respectively. VCDS: full reset of all CBS counters in one procedure.

A5 Service Reset
- Via MMI: Car → Servicing → Oil Change → Confirm
- Via VCDS: Adaptation → Service interval — more complete reset
- Shorten interval to 10,000 km — factory 30,000 km LongLife is NOT safe in Malaysian conditions
Longlife Indicator — What It Misses
Audi's Longlife service indicator monitors engine oil condition, brake pads, brake fluid, and spark plugs. It does NOT monitor: S tronic dual-clutch fluid, Quattro rear differential fluid, Quattro front differential fluid, or DSG haldex fluid. Many A5 owners discover overdue drivetrain fluids only when symptoms appear at 80,000+ km. At 4M Car Care we maintain a parallel service calendar for drivetrain fluids alongside the Longlife indicator items. A VCDS service reset costs RM 80–120 at 4M Car Care.
